Sticker Kit Installation InstructionsThank you for purchasing boat stickers from our website.
Before you start applying your stickers please read through this webpage carefully. All sorts of things can be found on a surface that even looks clean to the naked eye. This may include fish slime, polish or silicone residue and dirt. You will need to clean your surface area properly by using a cleaning solution that removes wax, polish, grime etc which is suitable for your surface. Advice about which product you can use can be sought from your local automotive paint supplies or marine shop. Always test the product in a hidden area of your boat surface just to make sure it is suitable for your surface.
When you are ready use a clean cloth and wipe the area down a few times with the cleaning solution and wipe dry. Now test the surface with a piece of masking tape by applying it to the surface. The masking tape should stick and if it doesn't your surface may still be dirty.
Important: Once you have finished cleaning the surface you will need to wash your surface area again with warm soapy water and rinsed with lots of cold water then proceed by drying the surface. This step is important so the cleaning solution you had used previously does not effect the sticker adhesive.
Please Note: The videos provided are for educational purposes only. We are not responsible for any damage caused to your stickers during the installation process so please follow the instructions carefully.
Both material types have a medium to high tack adhesive so rest assured if your surface is 100% clean our stickers will stick to the substrate whether its painted, fiberglass or plastic.
Tips1. Due to moisture in the air don't apply your stickers early in the morning. 2. Don't apply your stickers after 6pm during the colder months. 3. Any bubbles you have after installation will disappear within time with the sun.
4. Never wash your stickers with high pressure water.
5. The best way to wash your stickers after a boating trip is with a soapy sponge rinsed with slow flowing tap water. 6. If a pointy edge of your sticker starts to lift just snip 1 or 2mm off the point. 7. When applying your stickers to a non painted aluminum surface only apply your stickers using the dry method. 8. Don't use a detergent mix in your water if applying wet. 9. Applying stickers using the wet method is best used during the hotter summer months and use this method at your own risk. 10 Our Stickers will take upto 4 days to fully cure on to your surface.
